With Stefano Ghisolfi, Adam Ondra and Jakob Schubert, three of the world's best climbers joined forces in spring 2022 to wring an ascent of the potential 9c line Excalibur - without success. Will Bosi has been staying in Arco for a short time. After just one day, the strong Scot was able to do all 18 moves and climb the route in three stages.
Has in the last two months Will Bosi with the third ascent of alphanes (9A) as well as various tough flash ascents like Vecchio Leone (8B), The Dagger (8B/+) or Flash Flood (8B) showed that he is one of the strongest boulderers in the world. However, it would be presumptuous to call the 23-year-old "only" a boulderer. Because Will Bosi is also one of the world elite in sport climbing. First ascents like King Cappella (9b +) or La Furia de Jabali (9b) adorn his track record.

The strong Scot is currently dedicating his attention to the Ghisolfi project Excalibur. "On the first day I had an incredible session in which I was able to do all the moves and climb the route in almost three stages," enthuses Will Bosi.

On the following two days he already managed to link the first half of the route with the start of the second. "And I was able to connect six of the eight moves in the upper half," says Bosi.

If Will Bosi continues at the same pace as he started, we'll soon know if the 18-move overhanging strength-endurance route will get a 9c rating. It remains exciting.
