Chuck Odette races an 8b route at the age of 62 years

The American Chuck Odette cannot be held back by his age. Yesterday he succeeded in ascent of the 8b route Killer Bees in Hurricave, USA.

While others sink into the mid-life crisis, the 62 year-old is once again on the right track. He climbed last year The Golden Child and Bulletproof Monk in Logan Canyon two 8b + routes and four 8b's. The new year starts for the American with the inspection of Killer Bees (8b) in the hurricave.

Road trip with his wife Maggie Odette

Until retirement at 2015, Chuck worked as coordinator of event and athlete sponsorship at Petzl, but then gave up most of his possessions to work with his wife (who, by the way, climbed her first 40b + at the age of 8) for at least five years climbing. Roadtrip to start. Since then, the two have been fishing from climbing area to climbing area. The two have time to configure hard routes. We are curious which news from the two will reach us.
