Seven times 8a or harder: Vadim Timonov flashes through Fontainebleau

Like many other climbing professionals, Vadim Timonov recently stayed in Fontainebleau. Since the conditions were unfavorable for the really difficult problems, the strong Russian quickly concentrated on flashing. The result: a ticklist with numerous boulders in the eighth French grade.

Vadim Timonov is one of the strongest climbers in the world and is known for ticking off the most difficult bouldering problems in rows and in record time. He recently went to the French bouldering paradise Fontainebleau impressively demonstrated his ability to climb boulder flash.

"Unfortunately, the conditions didn't allow us to climb the hardest boulders," he says. So he put his focus on flash inspections. With success, as a look at his tick list shows: Lazarus (8b) elephunk (8b) Gourmand raccourci (8a +), big dragon (8a +), Le Prouepotologue (8a) Trojan was (8a) Le toit du Greau (8a) miss tick (7c+/8a).
