In Edge of the Unknown, award-winning filmmaker Jimmy Chin takes you to Morocco, where Alex Honnold wants to do one last big rope-free “test run” before his Freerider Free Solo.

Before Free Solo shows Alex Honnold before his big free solo on El Capitan. To prepare for his big goal, he travels to Morocco to test his physical and mental condition on the large walls in the Atlas Mountains. After a 22-hour link-up of Babel (875m), L'Axe du mal (546m) and Les rivières pourpres (600m) with Tommy Caldwell, he chooses one of the three walls for one last big solo effort before the showdown in Yosemite Valley .
