Daniela and Robert Jasper are one of the strongest mountaineering couples in Germany. The two from the southern Black Forest mastered spectacularly difficult routes, especially on the north face of the Eiger. Next, they attempt an adventurous first ascent there for their 30th marriage anniversary.
Daniela and Robert have been in a relationship for 30 years. “A typical mountaineering relationship,” says Daniela, it constantly goes up and down.” At the end of the 1990s, Daniela and Robert Jasper managed to climb the most difficult route to date on the north face of the Eiger.
But when the two Jasper children were born and a serious accident occurred, Daniela and Robert's lives changed. How does a family deal with it when the father is a professional mountaineer on an expedition for months, and what does it feel like when he suddenly has to fight for his life?
