20-year-old Drew Ruana bouldering Sleepwalker (8c +) and The Nest (8c)

The American Rudolph "Drew" Ruana is flying high. He managed the two ultra-heavy lines Sleepwalker (8c +) and The Nest (8c) in Red Rocks.

A few days ago, we received a report about the inspection of his first boulder on difficulty 8c + (Sleepwalker). A short time later double Drew and also climbed a second test piece in the Red Rocks bouldering area: The Nest (8c).

Drew Ruana on the Boulder Sleepwalker

The Boulder Sleepwalker at the Black Velvet Canyon in late 2018 from Jimmy Webb first ascents. At first, Jimmy couldn't make a move, but he didn't give up. In numerous sessions, he always decoded new sequences until he was finally able to climb the boulder. The line was originally created by Nalle Hukkataival discovered and projected unsuccessfully for a long time. You can find out more about the history of the first ascent here.

Another difficult ascent by Drew Ruana: The Nest

At the end of his bouldering trip, Drew Ruana gave everything again and got a solid inspection of the 8c boulder The Nest, The line was launched on December 18, 2013 Daniel Woods first ascents.
