Six years ago, German professional alpinist Michi Wohlleben achieved a record-breaking ascent. He mastered the exposed, narrow Wetterstein ridge in the Wetterstein Mountains of the German Alps, near the Austrian border, in just 40 hours. Non-stop, without a break, he covered 70 kilometers and 7000 meters of elevation gain, spread across countless peaks. A project that would normally combine six or seven ambitious day hikes.
