The mountain film festival Mountains on Stage is back with a brand new programme. The German-speaking tour stops in 17 cities in Switzerland and Germany. As the official media partner, LACRUX 3×2 is giving away tickets for a screening of your choice.
Mountains on Stage is a film festival that aims to bring the mountains to the city with a selection of the world's best films related to mountain sports such as skiing, mountaineering, climbing or paragliding.
The summer edition program includes:
- Rainbow wrasse: Since her youth, Julia Chanourdie has been involved in climbing, between Harz and rock, bouldering and routes. This film traces the journey of this extraordinary woman who is one of the few to have reached level 9b.
- O'Parizad: In this adventure in the heart of the Karakorum, Guillaume Pierrel, accompanied by Tiphaine Dupérier, Boris Langenstein and Aurélia Lanoe, tackles the Gasherbrum II without porters and without oxygen, with the aim of skiing down the southern spur.
- Alpine Trilogy - Doggy style: Nicolas Favresse and Sébastien Berthe take you on a new adventure: to complete the Alps trilogy, ie to conquer three of the most difficult climbs in the Alps by bike and their dogs.
- Résilience: Kevin Rolland is a freestyle skiing legend with multiple world titles and X Games gold medals under his belt. Before he ends his competitive career, he wants to break the world record in vertical jumping from a height of over 12 meters.
- Chamlang: The north face of Chamlang, which is almost 2000 meters high and reaches a height of 7200 meters, is one of the last great untouched walls in the Himalayas. Benjamin Védrine decided to do it together with Charles Dubouloz, a very strong climber but novice at high altitudes.
