Patxi Usobiaga's eight-year journey back to Pachamama

The Basque climber Patxi Usobiaga is one of the most successful competition climbers. Eight years ago, he was at the peak of his career when all his climbing projects came to an abrupt end: Patxi suffered serious injuries in a car accident. One of his former projects, the route Pachamama (9a + / b) in Oliana, was from now on only a dream. Until 2017, as the current movie shows.

"Part of me can't believe that I am finally writing this. The other part can't believe that it has taken this long, ”wrote Patxi Usobiaga on November 10th on his website. The reason for this sentence was the successful progression of his long-term project Pachamama (9a + / b). For Patxi, it was not just the joy and ease of boarding that made him write the site entry. The passage meant far more. Together with his sponsor he produced a movie about his long and hard way #BackToTheTop.
