The British crack specialist Tom Randall recently conquered what is probably the hardest urban off-road crack in the world. His impressive ascent of Autobahn (8c) can now be admired in moving images. A must-see.
Tom randall has with his new route Highway (8c) in the German capital Berlin probably the most difficult urban rift He conquered the 60-meter-long roof crack without a rope, but wore a harness and carried a 6mm cord and two 5mm cams.
Tom Randall and his long-time climbing partner Pete Whittaker climbed some of the world's most difficult crack lines - including the legendary Century Crack - during a trip to the US in 2011. In preparation for Autobahn (8c), he used the same unconventional but effective training regime.
