Until the end of April 2017 the climbing guide Switzerland extreme Jura 2017 can be ordered by the Filidor-Verlag for the preferential price of 39 CHF.
The Swiss Jura has been the scene of important ascents in climbing history several times. For example, in 1986, when Antoine Le Menestrel on the Chuenisberg near Basel, with “Ravage“(8b + / c), opened the world's most difficult route at the time. Seven years later, doubled Fred Nicole With "Bloodbath“(9a) in Saint-Loup in the menu.
Rest after the storm
After the initial euphoria, it became quieter around the walls of the Jura. The scene of top climbers shifted. What remains are the beautiful rocks and fairytale forests. In addition to some extreme classics, the Jura climbing guide offers a multitude of well-secured routes from 6a to 8a in perfect Jura limestone, especially for "normal" climbers.
Finally a new law leader
In the canton of Jura and the Basler Jura in particular, the last editions of the climbing guides in the “extreme range” (not by Filidor) were twenty years ago. During this time, numerous projects were released, new tours and entire climbing areas were set up. Most of the routes have been renovated in an exemplary manner, so that they can be enjoyed safely.
Comprehensive description of new areas
The 360-page climbing guide for the Swiss Jura describes 51 areas and is written in three languages (D, F, En). If you order the book from Filidor by the end of April, you will receive the new topographic collection at the special price of 39 CHF.
