The IFSC, together with the Fédération Française de la Montagne et de l'Escalade and the Swiss Alpine Club SAC, as well as the local organizers, decided to postpone the IFSC competitions planned for July. At the same time, the IFSC announces the new date for the 2020 European Championships in Moscow.
The following three events are affected by the postponement.
- IFSC World Cup in Villars (SUI) from July 2-4, 2020
- IFSC World Cup in Chamonix (FRA) from July 11th to 13th, 2020
- IFSC World Cup in Briançon (FRA) from July 18-19, 2020
Due to the current situation, the shift of Competitions already signed some time ago. On April 13, 2020, French President Emmanuel Macro extended the national ban on major public events until mid-July. Large events are also prohibited in Switzerland until further notice.
A few weeks ago, the IFSC already his competitions in Meiringen, Wujiang, Chongqing, Seoul, Munich and Innsbruck.

New date for the European Championship 2020 in Moscow
The European Championship should originally have taken place between March 20 and March 27, 2020. Now an appointment has been found and fixed. European athletes will take place in Moscow between October 1 and 8, 2020 if the situation around the coronavirus stabilizes. In Moscow, among other things, two Olympic tickets - one place per gender - will be awarded.
