The IFSC has released the 2026 season calendar for Lead, Boulder, Speed, and Paraclimbing. All World Cup dates and highlights at a glance.

The dates for the next competition year in climbing and paraclimbing of the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSCThe dates are set. In the 2026 season, World Cups will be held at eleven locations in Asia, Europe, and North and South America. The annual [event name] will also take place in July. Full focus on the World Cup

The next World Championships won't take place until 2027, and qualification for the 2028 Olympics is still a long way off. Therefore, next year the participating athletes will be focusing entirely on the World Cup events.

As in previous years, the season starts in spring with events in China*, before the European World Cups take place in summer. In 2026, tried and tested host cities such as... Prague, Innsbruck, Bern, Madrid, Krakow, Copper and Chamonix there.

South America to host for the second time

2025 took place with the Boulder World Cup in CuritibaBrazil hosted its first international IFSC event in South America. The continent will be represented again next season: the Lead & Speed ​​World Cup in Santiago, Chile, will conclude the competition year at the end of October. Before that, Salt Lake City will once again host the bouldering specialists in the fall.

Three Paraclimbing World Cups, new speed format

In the 2026 season there will again be three World Cups in the paraclimbing The event will begin in May in Salt Lake City, before the athletes travel on to Innsbruck in June and finally to Laval in August.

In Krakow, the new "Speed ​​4" format will also be used for the first time at a World Cup. This system with four starters was officially introduced at the 2025 World Games in Chengdu. In this format, two pairs compete against each other simultaneously.
