With Excalibur (9b+), Stefano Ghisolfi not only completed his hardest first ascent at the beginning of 2023, but also the most difficult sport climbing route in Italy. The recently published uncut video of his ascent shows how hard he fought for this success.
Had long Stefano Ghisolfi fought with his project at Arco, which was even traded as a potential 9C route in the beginning. Excalibur But it wasn't a closed project as usual. The strong Italian invited the best in the world to try the route with him, including Adam Ondra, Jakob Schubert or Will Bosi.
