The competition mode: How the Red Bull Dual Ascent works
The routes are climbed in "Redpoint" mode. The climbing teams are allowed an unlimited number of falls, but if they fall they must climb the relevant length of rope again without falling. The participants will climb the route for the first time during the competition, but will be given a route demonstration shortly beforehand. The maximum time for the entire route is 90 minutes.
Exciting duels until the end in 2023
Last year, 24 athletes competed in teams of two. The difficulty levels then also ranged from 6c to 8b on the French climbing scale.
The sibling duo Jernej and Julija Kruder won in a thrilling finale against last year's winner Alberto Ginés López and his climbing partner Jenya Kazbekova. The Swiss Petra Klingler took third place with Louna Ladevant.
