Crème de la crème is fighting for the Swiss championship title in bouldering

On Saturday, May 25th, the best athletes in Switzerland will compete in the Swiss Championships in the Quadrel bouldering hall in Domat/Ems. We have put together the live stream and the most important information for you.

It's been over 2 months since the last one SAC Swiss Climbing Cup in bouldering in Sursee. In the meantime, the first international competitions took place, where some athletes were able to get a taste of fresh air overseas.

Next Saturday, May 25th, we'll be heading back to home. Because then the best of the best Swiss climbers will climb the national season highlight in bouldering with the Swiss championship in the Quadrel bouldering hall in Domat/Ems.

Fight for the Swiss championship title

After the two cups in Ibach and Sursee, the 12 best women and men from the elite and the 15 best women and men from the U18 qualified. The reigning Swiss champions are still Natalie Bärtschi and Julien Clémence, but that may soon change.

There will definitely be a new champion among the women, as Bärtschi announced her retirement from competitive climbing last year. As a route builder in the Quadrel, she will conjure up the boulders on the wall that will put the athletes to the test.

And anyone who remembers Clémence's championship-winning buzzer beater at the very last second in the very last final boulder of the 2023 Swiss Championship knows that this time there will be a very close race for the title among men.

We're excited to see the women's winner Andrea Kümin duel vertically with her opponents Sofya Yokoyama, Petra Klingler and Noé Looser. Things will be no less exciting for the men, as Clémence faces a fit front line including Sascha Lehmann, Romain Sabatier, Jonas Utelli, Nino Grünenfelder and Nils Favre. Nina Hentschel and Davide Torroni are the favorites for the U18s.

Finals in live stream

Once again there will be a live stream for everyone who can't be there. It runs without commentary from 15:00 p.m. to 17:00 p.m. to show the U18 final. From 18:45 p.m. to 20:45 p.m. we can cheer on the elite in the final with commentary from David Firnenburg.

Admission is free for everyone who would like to watch the competition live on site.
