From her toe injury has Janja Garnbret definitely recovered. It almost seems like she came back even stronger. At the Sport Climbing World Championships in Bern, she marched through the competition rounds in bouldering with tremendous sovereignty.

She topped all of the 13 boulders from qualification, semi-finals and finals and only two of them could not climb right away. A real flash firework, in which in the end even the strong opponents in the final could not keep up.

French dyno power

A strong performance and an incredible amount of energy, especially in the dynamic boulders Oriane Bertone. In the final boulder three, which only Janja Garnbret was able to decipher besides her, the 18-year-old Frenchwoman chose the maximum dynamic variant with a multiple dynamo directly to the target grip.

Decision at the last top

Bronze Medal Winner Brooke Raboutou was still outside the podium after the third boulder, because she was "only" able to control the zone in problems 2 and 3. This changed on the last boulder, where they gave their all again and were able to hold the top grip on the first try. Zelia Avezou and also Natalia Grossman were kicked out again and again on this one.

Too many ninja warrior moves for Ai Mori

Grossman and Avezou showed a strong finale, but were not able to save their initial power up to the last boulder. The Japanese felt the same way Ai Mori, who still showed podium ambitions in the semi-finals, but then had problems in the course of the final with the numerous Jump&Run movements.

Touching farewell for Petra Klingler

The semi-finals were already highly emotional. This was partly due to one athlete: Petra Klingler. The Swiss climber recently announced that she would be retiring from competitive climbing after a potential Olympic participation in 2024. Bern definitely represented her last participation in the World Cup, which moved the 31-year-old to tears several times in front of her home crowd.
