In summer 2019 Shawn Raboutou climbed one of the most difficult highballs in the world: Livin 'Large (8c / 8c +). This video shows the ascent of the spectacular boulder.
The stars and starlets of the bouldering scene are no longer as international as they were before. That is why they have recently published spectacular inspections from the past. But not so bad, because the pictures and facts are, as in this case, still impressive:
- One of the most difficult highball boulders in the world
- 8 meters high
- Rated 8c / 8c +
- First climbed by Nalle Hukkataival in 2009
- Second and third ascent by Jimmy Webb (2015) and Shawn Raboutou (2019) respectively
- Rocklands, South Africa
The first ascent Nalle Hukkataival and Jimmy Webb (second ascents) have the boulder Livin 'Large rated 8c. Shawn Raboutou for his part, after its ascent, suggested 8c + as a difficulty.
