A bouldering hall for Langenthal

In Langenthal in the Oberaargau, a bouldering hall with supra-regional appeal is to be built in an old warehouse on the Ammann site. In order to implement the project, the initiators are looking for financial support.

The idea of a Bouldering hall in Langenthal was created when Sabrina Schaller and Samuel Diener came across the potential location in February 2023. The 1 square meter halls, located in the immediate vicinity of the train station, proved to be ideal for the project.

In order to advance the project, manola GmbH was founded with the support of Ramon and Pascal Trachsel as well as Simon Uhlmann, who had been planning a bouldering hall in Langenthal for some time.

After more than a year of intensive planning and negotiations, the rental agreement with Ammobilien has already been signed. In the best case scenario, manola Boulder is expected to open in winter 2024/2025, but the planning application is still pending.

Hall facts

On two floors, total approx. 800m2 , an offer for all levels of ability in the bouldering area will be created. A small, cozy bistro will be provided for refreshments, which will also be accessible without paying a bouldering entrance fee.

In the smaller side hall, an area of about 300m2 to a bouldering hall for children and courses. In addition to the "classic" bouldering routes, a spacious training area for bouldering and fitness enthusiasts is planned - with all "state of the art" training options such as tension board and spray wall.

The future hall will offer courses for children, beginners and advanced boulderers to make bouldering accessible to everyone. The immediate proximity to the train station makes the location on the Ammann site the ideal bouldering hall: centrally located, very easy to reach by public transport and bicycle.
