EDELRID calls on owners of the Cable Comfort Tri via ferrata set to stop using the product immediately and return it to Edelrid for inspection.
During tests of the metal components of the triple swivel, isolated strength fluctuations were observed.
With this review, Edelrid wants to ensure that the products delivered are not affected by these fluctuations.
Use of the product must be discontinued immediately.
- It is not possible for users to carry out an independent check.
- All currently delivered sets are affected up to batch Y-2024-0364.
- “Cable Comfort Tri” via ferrata sets from batch Y-2024-0384 are not affected.
Sets of the affected batches that we have already checked can be identified by the fact that there is an embossed circle around the "e" logo on one of the plastic trays, as shown below. Unchecked or unaffected sets do not have such an embossing on either of the two plastic trays.
Please send your via ferrata set back to Edelrid immediately. After inspection, your via ferrata set will be returned to you immediately.
